Hello all!
I'm not an E.E. but I do make simple projects using Altium Designer.
Recently I came up with the idea of having a "save-state" mode on an original snes. Is it possible?
Do I need to dump the RAM from the console or cartridge? Also, is this something someone is working on?
What you think @marshallh ?
I'll keep you guys updated (This might take a few months to do as I do these projects during my spare time).
Thanks all!

Re: SNES Save state project
I know this thread is pretty old but there is something similar to what you have in mind. It's called the Nakitek Game Saver+. I got one with the intention of internalizing it into the snes console but that kind of fell apart. From what I could tell, the ROM of whatever game you are playing is copied into SRAM in the game saver+ and then patched with the game saver's code. I dumped the Game Saver ROM. I can probably get it off one of my old computers if you want it.
