What to do with SNES mini case?????
Post
by electromaster64 » Tue Oct 18, 2005 12:51 pm
Any ideas on what I should do with my empty SNES mini case? I don't think one of those mini ATX computers would fit in it. I have an empty N64 case if you have any ideas for that too. Let me know your thoughts.

You could make a lunchbox with it. And make it so that your sandwhich goes in the cartridge slot. Or you can use it as a bank (because nobody would be able to open it with the Nintendo screws in it). Or make it a tissue dispenser. Now I want to make something.

Make it into another system with built-in games. or, make it into a light.

Take pics of the top of it, post it on ebay and list it as "untested, sold as is". That would be pure evil...Another idea would be to take the two halves and somehow find a way to make a loin cloth out of it for a killer Halloween costume. That would be pretty cool (literally)

Sell it as a haunted case on eBay.

the loin cloth would be hilarious, but my friends probably would not want to see my cool new project after I was finished with it:) I was thinking Hard Drive enclosure with usb ports in the front or something. But that was to easy to think of.

A hard drive enclosure would be pretty cool as well. I'm not sure of the dimensions, but if you had a NES motherboard handy you could create a toploader NES in a SNES case.

Use it as a case for a GOAC project. When you finish it, take pictures and email it to nintendo.

A lamp
like this perhaps. Honestly I think both SNES cases are horrible looking, so I would just douse it in kerosene. Then I'd light & laugh.

Put a mini-ITX mobo in it and make a PC running a SNES emulator
