If you fry a few N64s, don't get upset, they are very fickle. If you want to do a practice system to get used to hacking first, before you try the N64, I suggest one of the older systems.

actually sometimes when a N64 "fries," it's just temporarily dead. mine died a while ago and i just couldn't get it to work. after a months, i was bored and tested it and it worked. maybe that's what happens when N64s just die with no real reason

Yeah, it's like it just needs to cool down or get a charge out of it's system or something. I've had that happen to some computer motherboards. Not many though, most of them were older ones that were more robust than modern ones.

the green screen has something to do with the screen your using and the video output, if you search for it you kight find it.

right now im just testing it on my tv i tried it with both the cables and it still did this. n64s are very cheaply made im starting to wonder why people paid $200 for them.

oh yah i also think ben is making the re wiring of the game port harder than it is all he really needs to do is put some parrelels together.
