I was thinking about making my SNES portable, but I know almost nothing about how to wire the thing to work.
Could someone tell me what points on a PS1 lcd to connect to the snes mobo to gain video, and also how to go about wiring AA batteries for power?

basically you trace the circuit from the video input to a pin on the board of the LCD, and hook that up to the SNES. As for batteries, I'd suggest taking a look at the battery types on the first link.

Im assuming "Guest" that you're really COG, why dont you register? Anyway, look at the PROJECT 42 page here => http://www.benheck.com/Games/Project%2042%20Page.htm
See how Ben does it with his SNESs? Do that. Buy 6 NI-MH AAs and the 7.2v charger and hook it up like this =>
Hope that helps.
BTW, in my experence the white wire on the charger is NEG.

edit: the pic works now, thanks!
edit-2: ok, ive got everything I need to do worked out in my mind(except the case) but was wondering, is there any way to move the cart port? I was thinking about makin the cart slide in from the top.

If you are using the original models, the cart connector actually is detachable from the motherboard, no desoldering required. Idk about the snes2 mini version, but thats most likly the version you are using and it is most likely to be non-detachable.edit-2: ok, ive got everything I need to do worked out in my mind(except the case) but was wondering, is there any way to move the cart port? Go to www.doomportables.org click on the systems tab then click on the SNES logo and view my SNES portable how to guide
I have a couple of Qs in relation to this thread...
1. mAh = milli amp hours. Or something to that effect. Does that mean if I'm running a device that uses 2000mA on a 2000mAh battery, it'll last an hour?
2. Does the battery charging circuit above also let you to use the portable while it's charging?
