I have decided to portablize a Dreamcast. I am wondering if this battery would be a sufficient power source:

It'll run the DC without much trouble...though it's pretty large lol.

Also, what does the power supply board do exactly? I know you can use other things for a portable, but would it technically work in one?

It supplies the juice, what else lol.
As for it's usefulness in portables, don't even bother with it. It's far too large and far too heavy to be worth anyone's time. There are vastly superior devices out there to supply the regulated voltage needed.
