Phantasy Star Online

Post by watermelon » Tue Aug 09, 2005 8:18 am

not sure if i should really be posting this here, but ill try anyway.

does a substantial amount of people still play Phantasy Star Online? is it still worth playing?

also, does it have a montly charge for online play? or does it just run from my local telephone rate?

is it worth the hastle of trying to connect it to share my PCs internet connection?

there must be some way to connect via null modem to your home computer which is hooked to the broadband. I still *HATE* sega for that game. I bought it used and they refused to allow me to connect.

that brings back a very painful memory of their awsome customer service... I hope they rot now...

single player that was a non-game.

I play the cube version every so often, however I just finished my big PSO phase for a few months at least.
SNESp - 100%
Protable X - 15% - I need money :(

I played the DC PSO in its prime, and I did use the keyboard. Using the keyboard is hardcore. I've played the Xbox verson a little now and then, last time I played online was over a year ago. And I have the head set so I dont have to change over to the keyboard.... maybe I should find that adapter I ordered and use the keyboard.

And if anyone still plays the Xbox PSO I'm going to get back one once I'm squared away with my laptop's debet (Still about $150 more).

I was there when the PSO servers shut down. They shut down on October 31st, 2003.
