Portable N64 Progress Thread

Post by schmellyfart » Thu May 24, 2012 5:39 pm

Hey everyone, been out of the loop for a while. I've been working on a pN64 off and on for the past year and a half, so Ifigure making a progress thread will help keep me motivated to finish this thing.

Its largely using random parts that I've acquired over the years and never got around to using.
So heres the lowdown:
-game gear case
-trimmed n64, still have more timming to do
-3.5" screen from DX http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3-5-inch-t ... v-dc-14781
-batteries if there's room
-mini analog stick :)

I'm sure there's more that I forgot to mention

Here's what I have done so far:

Right now I'm finishing up the case with some spot putty. I'll upload more once that's done.

You know that you can get that same exact screen on ebay for 20 bucks, right?

But otherwise, Great job so far!

Nice. Keep adding that bondo and keep sanding, and sanding... and sanding until it has a plastic look that is really smooth. It will turn out great!

actually, the ebay screen has less clarity, and can't run at 5v. the screen he has is a whole lot better

Umm no and maybe

The screen he has says it is 640x480 but it is really the same resolution as all the screens on Ebay, in fact they are all the same.

And most Ebay screens run at 5v.
