There's a very nice GTK port of Snes9x here. It is MUCH easier to configure the controls in the GUI of the GTK version

as much as I love SNES9x +gtk and openGL, this place is more about Hardware modification. now if you want to build a portable computer system that can play SNES emulated games and stuff, i guess it would be relevent (especially since you could write a script for linux to load it on start up), but unless you plan on doing that, its mostly unnecessary.

I just made this

SNES Cartridge information

The bit about having a perfect compatibility regionfree SNES is the most interesting part.

I still don't understand why you didn't just do it yourself, but no problem. I thank you for the content, in fact.

I've been writing yet again!

Finding out if an original SNES has the bigger, older board or the newer, smaller revision

this should help all of those who are not using the snes mini

There's an article with posted size comparison on that site as well, actually

size comparison

as you can see, it's wider.

Also, no problem. I'm glad my guide could help you!

hmm, looks about 50% wider.

no matter, my project (If it ever gets off the ground) shouldn't be too worried about board size.

You'll want the right kind.
