Starting my own N64p

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Starting my own N64p

Im starting production on my own n64p and i had a few questions, firstly i noticed that it is very popular to use a PSone screen, why is that? I wanted to use a 7" screen from
A car unit or sumthing, will this be an issue?

I believe most people use the PSone screen because they're relatively cheap and readily available. Also, they're easy to modify and use.

Do you think the car unit will be an issue?

the price won't be an issue, im just worried about wiring and power consumption

Psone screens aren't "relatively cheap", they're a good price for what they're worth, but there are many usable screens out there that are about the same price. Psone screens are a good side for a portable (5"), and with that good size, it comes with a pretty small circuit board, that is moddable, and one big plus is it comes with built in speakers.
