N8² work log

Post by sk8rseth » Fri Sep 30, 2011 12:07 am

starting my very first n64p! this will be my work log.
i havent done much yet, but i do know my components, everything is pretty much the same as everyone else, except i plan on using a ps1 or dreamcast joystick, possibly 2 d-pads instead of the c-buttons, im going with a 7" LCD, and i plan on running 3x 5000mah li-ion cells, giving me 10,000mah and 7.4v.
i have already relovated the cart slot, and since its the only thing ive really done, ill post pics.
take these pics as representation of the quality of work to expect in this mod. it clearly isnt perfect, but its pretty well fionished, and thats what i expect from my mod!

Your cartridge slot relocation looks good other than the fact that the wires soldered to the motherboard are way too long.
There's a higher risk of the wires breaking when they are stripped so much.
Shorten how much you strip your wires and you'll be good.

Great job! I still haven't got the guts to do a cartridge slot relocation, so you're better off than I am!
