My portable is 98% done. I'll post pics of it when I get a chance. Now it has built in controls by a N64 controller board inside the case. My question is this, if I then attach an adapter that runs outside the case for an external controller can I damage the board?
Let me clarify, two N64 controllers attached to the same controller port. One inside and one outside. Will this pull too much voltage, and if so do I just need something to switch between the two.

You have to have a switch to switch between the two. They will not run together.

I figured that. It would take me two seconds to rig up a switch that changes the ground wires.
