PSone 8.0 Volt Battery to 7.5 Volts

Post by Haunted360 » Thu Mar 31, 2011 3:05 am

Hi. Now this has got me confused.

I have an 8.0 v battery with protection circuit bla bla bla and I want to put it through to the PSone.

If I drop the voltage from 8 to 7.5, (0.5 v difference) would I use a resistor or a voltage regulator?

Explain why...

It is such a small drop too. But then again, I will do testing to see if the protection circuit it actually outputting a stable 8 volts and not 8.6 or something...

Thanks
