Really want to buy from that site but apparently I would need to buy 2 hazmat bags for the batteries which are 25 dollars each. I don't know completely though since I don't understand this whole haz mat fee.

No you don't "have" to buy them. Just skip that part or delete it from your cart.FLAPJACKDAN wrote:Really want to buy from that site but apparently I would need to buy 2 hazmat bags for the batteries which are 25 dollars each. Also, looking at your last diagram, you don't need the extra wires. You drew 3.3v going to 2 pins. Just wire it to one of them. Either one. Same with GND.Haunted360 wrote:1) He can just wire DIRECTLY to the pin's solder pads AFTER the SMT crap.Basement_Modder wrote:God, haunted, don't post without proper knowledge.
2) The grey ribbon is useless.
1) Why can't he solder directly to the PADS (seen in his photo with the grey line going to it) on the PLUG? Please explain so I can learn Basement...
That's what I was saying he COULD do, as earlier in the thread you said he couldn't use the plug due to the smt crap.
2) Yea, thats why I said solder to the pins above but explain WHY he cant? Do you bypass the SMT's or let the battery's power go normally through them??
BYPASS

You can, yes.
Use any wire you want that is at least 24AWG or so.

Nice. Strange you had to bridge the pins, though. I never have.

That looks pretty sweet. If I can find my old, broken power supply I may have to do something like this for power outages.
