Re: t64 Resurrection
So..... my experiment with Vellum paper didn't work out so well.... I guess the whole issue with crappy laser prints is possibly the toner cartridge has a crappy drum and I noticed some slight issues with the fuser. Unfortunately my printer doesn't have density adjustments... Oh well, I guess I'll have to figure something else out.
In the meantime, here's some pics to keep you guys entertained until my next post comes along. Markin' up and cuttin' out! Need to smooth everything out once it's all cut and drilled.

Have you tried cleaning off old transparency sheets for transfer printing?

Re: t64 Resurrection
he is already using transparencies for photo-resist etching, i wonder if photo paper would work for toner transfer to things other than PCBsSnow_Cat wrote:Have you tried cleaning off old transparency sheets for transfer printing?

I know that it definitly works for involuntary transfer to library tables.
Re: t64 Resurrection
That's good info, Snow Cat, unfortunately I usually cut up the transparencies so that I can position them better and because sometimes I print more than one design per sheet. I guess if I did one design and not cut them up I could try that out. I also have a practically brand new laser printer aside that was working well and has toner density adjustment but one day refused to boot up anymore.... I don't know what's wrong with it and I messed with it for a bit, but maybe I'll have to go back and try to get it to work.

Mo' pitchurs! I cut out the rectangle for the LCD so that the LCD fits inside of it and it's flush with the front surface, but it's gonna have a bezel around it to keep it looking neat. Making the LCD fit inside will save some space on the inside of the case for the rest of the electronics. The bezel's not gonna look like in the pic with the strips of wood laying on top of each other, that's just more of a mock up shot. I'm also going to rout out rectangles for the speakers so that they actually sit inside the wood, not on the surface, but not all the way through.

I really like this project! also, thats a very good idea, moving the ribbon cable on the screen. I'm also pretty sure that you can use an RGB input on that screen, are you considering doing that?
