Noob help for n64p

Post by Fuzzlewig » Fri Dec 03, 2010 9:52 pm

I'm a real noob at this and I'm still waiting to get my stuff so I made an account for this site so that hopefully when I do get it I'll already know the procedure. If you guys would help me out I would really appreciate it. :D

Well there is a sticky of a full n64p wiring diagram on this forum so wiring the portable shouldn't be a problem. The only things I can think of off the top of my head are;
1. (If you do decide to relocate the cartridge slot) make sure that you skip those two pins on the n64 board that aren't on the cartridge slot or else your portable won't work properly.
2. Try to use hot glue as little as possible.

Thanks for the help. The main things I would like advice on are the following:
1) How to relocate cart slot
2) How to relocate power switch and restart button
3) How to make it completely portable by running off of batteries
4) Hacking a pocket tv screen
5) How to trim the board into different sections without making it inactive

Those 5 for the console and I want to make it horizontal format and don't know how to put the buttons on either side of the screen.
