my new psone portable worklog

Post by neops1geo » Mon Nov 01, 2010 4:31 pm

I am making a psone portable I have another place i was going to write in but it wont let me now. Anyway I got the psone and a R/C PACK 7.2v 2000 mah battery and a psone remote. I have the controller in the back of the system right above where the battery will be, when i first pluged in the battery I somehow had the positive and negetive wires backwards so it broke the system, I can still use the case remote and battery but need to get a new psone. I will post pics in a minute.

The controller sticks out abit and has a very short cord that goes through the case to plug in the normal player1 spot so I can easily replace it because it is a very old controller. The screen will be fliped to face the back wile keeping the av/power in facing the front. the battery is a 7.2 volt rechargable and has 2000 mah, I tested it and it works for about 2 1/2 hours.
My camera isnt working right now so I will have to fix it soon to post a video.

thanks.

Im lost...

There are even more rude people on these Forums, yet you tell me :wtf:

As for the case, I would consider (after wards when you finish this) to move it into a lunch box for example. So then you can play with a case and move the electronics to a better position too.

Thanks, sorry.... I don't explain things well.
I'm not going to do it that way this time because I am almost finished but I may next time.
My next portable will probably be ether a sega genesis v3 or a gamecube.
I amost have the camera working and I still nead to fix the ps1 screen, does anyone know what might be wrong with it and how to fix it. The av in and out on the screen works to a tv, but the screen won't tern on an IT IS BRAND NEW WAS IN BOX. I think i might know but I have to get it open to be shur, I am having a hard time geting the screen case open.I will post more pics and a video on youtube once i finish and have the camera working.
Thanks.

No problem

Uh, as for your screen.

Are you sure it is all plugged in correctly? haha - jokes

The CFL tube could be blown/cracked or the inverter has blown.

Try and open it up because that is important

Of course, as soon as you do - LED Mod it. That will solve you power consumption issues, and improve the lighting too.

Yeah led modding could even give you an extra hour of play time.

PsOne uses 600mA
Psone unmodded screen uses 700mA

Total 1300mA

With your current batteries you should be getting around 1 1/2 hours playtime.

Psone -- 600mA
Modded Psone Screen -- 400mA

Total 1000mA

With a modded screen you will get 2 hours of playtime. So 30 extra minutes.
