just use one 1,800ohm ((1K8ohm)(1.8Kohm)) resistor
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
I couldnt find one

Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
just walk into any electronics shop and they'll have them. they cost like 5cents
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
Radioshack was lacking them. Ill try looking elsewhere.
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
25 of them on ebay for $3.

Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
it's very strange for radioshack to not have them lol, ah well, maybe they are as useless as I've heard
ebay has everything
ebay has everything
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
They apparently have staff whose only job is to remove humans that were listed.
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
I'd suggest looking for a 'electronics supply' shop- radioshack / thesource have until recently moved away from hobby electonics and are generally $10-20 more than any other shop for tools and supplies (cardboard+plastic packaging is expensive.)
The website of the nearest hackerspaces.org should point you torward the local favorite.
OR you could just order a mixed bag/box from a surplus warehouse like goldmine-elec-products.com or the 'potpoppori' specail from (dead link).

Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
Thanks, but like I said, I already bought some.
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
Okay; I meant for future reference.
According to the focus.ti.compth08080w Datasheet the ideal resistor should be 1.857kΩ, anything higher and the voltage will be lower.
So a perfect 2kΩ (Using the formula on page 7...) should output 3.23V, but with ±10% tollerance it could be anywhere from 2.91V to 3.43V.

Thanks! Well switching to a thicker wire got me to a max of 3.2, less hum in the amp, but the screen still flickers from the video signal and turns white, and the 64 turns off. I literally need .1 more volts lol. I'll just have to wait until my 1.8k arrives. Thanks for the help guys!
Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
thicker wire?
What gague wire are you using?

Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
I was using some spare wire for just the 3.3v line, which is about 30awg, and I believe the new stuff is about the thickness of speaker wire.

Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
Your wire might not be able to deliver as many AMPS as the N64 needs =/ it's more likely that that's the problem than undervolting it. If you have too many volts - N64 blows up. Not enough voltage - N64 doesn't turn on. Not enough Amps - N64 may work but with problems.
