I know. My case is half an inch thinner and half an inch longer. It will probably have the cartslot on the back, but if you dont count that it should be smaller overall. Im not really aiming for smallest, just small.

How will you be getting sound/volume control in this unit because I can't seem to find a 3.5" screen that has built in speakers like the psone screen

You are going to have to do one serious MoBo Cut Down to fit in in there.
May I suggest, phoning Nintendo Headquarters and asking them to re-run a mini N64 MoBo for you in the size 3 x 3.5 inches

flush on back. always flush on back. it makes it so much more professional looking. unless you can get it to go down inside the casing itself.
