I had the same problem. Mine was fried but you still have hope. Check all of your voltages with a multimeter, take out your jumper/expansion pak and put it back in, look for solder splatter on pins and chips, and check your cart slot relocation (If you did one). Good luck. :D
This place is fun.

The easiest thing to do is leave it off with nothing plugged into it for 2-3 days. I just knocked mine out last week when I was messing around with my super pad, I waited another day and it turned right back on. If the lights flashes on and turns off you didn't wait long enough.

The same thing happened to me. I put the top of the N64 shell on the motherboard, hooked it up, and plugged it into the wall last. It turned on, and it was playable.
What's there to say? I haven't made anything special!

Is there a limit on the length of a cartridge relocation as there is with RAM extension that could make problems?

It's a good idea to do relocations before removing things like the power source connection, I learned the hard way with a fried N64 with a problem I can't test because there are so many things that could be wrong.

I don't remember the limit, I'm pretty sure there is. Not a lot of people know it because they don't need it that long. I know at least 6 inches is ok. And you should not be soldering when there's power going through it, that's a REALLY bad idea.
