Re: Hailrazer's 3rd N64 Portable --- The Kamikaze Clone
hail used the same heatsinks on his first kamikaze64 and I don't think he needed any fans.

They worked just fine with the only ventilation being the gaps where the cart slot was.Archon276 wrote:nice heatsinks. i got the same kind coming in the mail for mine. how well so they work? do u have any ventilation?
Played Mario for 2 hours without the portable ever even feeling very warm to the touch.

If I have a fan, do I still need heatsinks? And does a PTH08000 need a heatsink?

Yes you still need heatsinks. No the 08000 does not need one.ToastBucket wrote:If I have a fan, do I still need heatsinks? And does a PTH08000 need a heatsink?

Yea if you just use the small aluminum heatsinks that came with the N64 you will most likely need a fan. If you use the heatsinks AND the aluminum block on top of it you won't need a fan.JariV wrote:If you also get a fan, yes.

Got them from a Hong Kong seller on Ebay. They are copper heatsinks for DDR Ram. :MarioOwnsAll wrote:Looken sexy hail, what type of heat sinks are thoughs and where do you get them from?

Got the Triggers on the back just now and the second filler coat on the front.
Gonna put in the sticks and buttons tonight or tomorrow.
