So.. I accidentally put one of the batteries on the metal N64 shielding, and sparks came from it. I like sparks, so I started dancing. But then I realized.. OMFG NOT MY BATTERY D:

Is it dead now? It didn't explode or anything..

Unless you left it on there for more than just a second, it should be fine.

If it's a Li-Ion with protection circuitry you probably either tripped the protection or blew the board.

I would say that they're fine, but I guess the only way to find out for sure is to test it.

Connect the red thingie to the + side, and the black thingie to the - side.

Am I missing something?
Everyone makes holes in theyre cases and put pieces of the controller plastic in, like this:

I was thinkning about just drilling holes in with a drilling machine, for each button seperatly. And as for sche screen, drill a hole in the corner, and saw the thing out with a sawing machine. Am I really that dumb?

It's not just the holes, although having them perfectly sized and distanced is convenient. It's what's beneath - the 'tubes' that hold the button in place and ensure it stays upright and oriented.

While you can just drill holes for your buttons, some people find it preferable to use the original plastic.

But if I glue the Buttons to the tact switches, and the tact switches to the case, they'll keep up straight right?
