quick cartridge slot relocation question

Post by Cojiro » Sun Oct 18, 2009 2:01 pm

is it possible to relocate the slot by putting a bit of solder on the end of a wire and then sticking it directly into the pin hole, and if so, is this easier?

as long as you heat it up when it's in the hole so it is secured, it'll work.(did it with a snes mini)

you can't just stick it in the original hole if you removed the expansion slot on the bottom. stick each wire it in the expansion slot holes instead and solder on the underside of the board to the original pins. then add a little solder the the expansion pin hole to ensure contact.

the reason you need to do this is the exapansion a cart slots are on the same line and if there is no expansioon pins the connection for the cart slot won't happen
