Nes controller on a SNES

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Since I have no SNES controllers, can i hook up an NES controller?

If you take apart two NES controllers and remove the ICs, then wire them like it says in Ben's book (I'm sure you could also find it online somewhere) you can make a SNES controller.
