Hackmodford's GenesisP (Completed)

Well I need to restart the log after the bot incident...

Here's the situation so far...

This is proof that the cart slot relocation worked (first try too!)

This is the case.

This is the cart slot mounted on backImage

And that should bring you up to date picture wise.

As of now I need to buy new batteries (I broke the original ones) and I need to add 1/4" of thickness. I've got a friend with a laser engraver that said he'll help so we'll see what I can do.

Okay I'm back! I sooo gotta finish this thing :D

My biggest problem has been trying to get the last piece to be cut... I finally decided to download a copy of corel draw 12 off a website called xxxxxxxxxxx because that's the program that the trophy shop uses

Keeping fingers crossed...

I'M BACK!

Anyways I finally scrapped the idea of adding the thickness to the case. (Nobody around that can cut the material) I've tried everywhere and it's just a sad sad story

So I had to think about it a different way... I decided to go with normal ni-mh aa batteries (which are thinner)

Anyways I wired the homemade battery pack up. soldered some power wires + the speakers and BAM... SEGA! Yipeee! it still works.

Sad news is I lost my multimeter somewhere... so I'm gonna buy another one. Next up is wiring the switches/ports plus the controller and this baby will be done!

Keep me pumped guys!

So yesterday I got the controller all wired up! Now all it needs is the power circuitry and it will be done...

Okay so I go to screw it together and the darn thing aint thick enough! Back to original problem.

Through all the failed attempts at various local business to cut the pieces I think that I can the slightly smaller pieces to increase the thickness... I might just have to use longer screws to make sure that it screws together.

If I do this (I have to do something) there will be too small gaps in the top middle side and the bottom middle side. I might have a piece of plastic I can put in there to "fill" the hole. That will have to do.

Also the controls work ;)

Should be completely finished by FRIDAY!

So I screw it all together and most everything works! Well I had the ABC xyz buttons kinda inverted but that was a quick fix...
Just need to hotglue the batteries and power LED down and it's done.

It's finally done. It's in a box and on it's way to the comissioner (not Gordon)

I've only got one picture but it will have to do... will post soon...
