''PAL'' Snes lockout chip

Post by misjah » Wed Sep 02, 2009 4:32 am

Greetings. I Found a lot of articles how to disable the lockout chip, but every one is for NTSC console for playing PALs. I tried the same method but for PAL console (pin 4 to gnd). The games I tried are working (except Street Fighter II which stops after few minutes) but the reset button is now dead. Is there anything I`m missing or this is normal?

sorry but I cannot help you, I'm kinda in the same situation.

I want to disable the lockout chip from my PAL SNES too but I don't want to take the risk just yet and screw it up because I'm not sure if the version really matters.

So I really want to know if disabling the lockout chip works the same in PAL systems as in NTSC systems.
