"Battery-pack" for the N64

Post by Pacute » Wed Aug 05, 2009 6:36 am

Hey guys i just registered here
cause i still got some questions.

I wonder how i might be building something like a battery-pack for

the n64, since i don't wont to build in a screen in my Portable.

Or in other words what have to be changed of Harshboy's wiring diagram if you don't use a screen you have to power?

Ignore the two wires immediately to the left of the screen, because those are for power to the screen. and then the four wires directly to the right of the screen, those are for audio and video.

all the other wires you need. specifically, the power straight from the battery to the N64 and the regulated power from the PTH08000.

any other questions?

So this is going to be like a portable without a screen? :? Will the controls be built in? If not, I have an excellent idea for you.

I think we should check to see if you can withstand 220 volts

looks good. this sounds like a fun, more simple project. it all depends on how longyou want to be able to play for when deciding on mah. I would look into getting at least 3000mah but that's just me. some would recommend more.

Shouldn't 3000 be enough? I meen its just the n64, i can't imagine it takes much power.
Anyways taking a juicy one (8000  or so) won't hurt if i can get a got price.

Im planning to use the plastic from the nintendo's power supply to store my batteries.

Would it be possible to use the stuff inside(i already got it out) and simply connect a battery to it, so i could easly just plug it into every 64 i want? This would be so awesome!
