It would work with the n64 but if you use a psone screen then you'll need a regulator.
Plus I don't see the amperage but a battery that small probably won't last you very long.

Thanks for replying. so you are saying that I can use 1 battery with a regulator for the n64 and 1 other battery with another regulator for the psone screen? Btw i have two of these batteries.

You don't have to use two batteries, you could just use one big battery with less voltage.
But you said you already had two of these. Then what you can do is put them in parallel that will double their amp hours. (how long they last)
Then you can us a regulator for the screen. A 7808 regulator.
That will bring down the voltage to what the screen needs.
1. put the batteries in parallel
2. use a regulator for the screen

Im kinda new with this stuff but im assuming putting them in parallel means putting both of them in together right?

its a method of wiring them that keeps the voltage the same, but doubles the mah.xXPunisher24Xx wrote:Im kinda new with this stuff but im assuming putting them in parallel means putting both of them in together right?

Thanks a lot Neverused. i also was looking over the forums and saw that some people perfer to use 2000mah 7.2v batteries. Here is a link of what i found searching google.

What do you think is a great battery to use for my portable? i usually want to get about 1:30 - 2 hours of total playing time. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Would This Battery Work With an N64 Portable?
Batteries around 7.4V are good because both the N64 and the PSOne screen can take that voltage easily. Either way the 3.3V line will have to be regulated for the N64 anyways, it's just easier to have the two other voltages worked out without any extra work.

2000 mAh will only get you about 1 hour and 15 minutes on an led modded n64. You're going to want to look for one with more juice.

That first battery looks good. It should get you 2-3 hours of battery life.
