Life of Brian wrote:Sweet! I like the pictures you've posted so far - I think you're taking a realistic approach to making this. Keeping the cartridge slot where it originally is will save you a ton of work and headaches. Awesome find on those batteries.
I need to thank eurddrue for the batteries and I actually like the feel of it with the cartridge slot like that and you can also change out expansion packs or jumper packs without having to open up the case. More pictures coming soon!

I am using a 7400mah li-on battery. Its huge but the battery will last forever.

Do you think I should use the original buttons or these switches that I found on radioshack?

an 8Ah Li-Po from batteryspace is only 1.5cm thick.
Yet costs $150 or $250 :x
$39.98 for 7.4v 4250mAh. Do your research before making stupid assumptions. Because you can't spell assumptions without ass.

There's a big difference between 4.25A that small and 8A that small. I was checking around batteryspace and yes, the small lower end capacity are cheap. (semi) The ones that are the same size though and are 6-8A are like $100-$200 more.

An 8Ah is around $60.00. Either way, you're saving space.

Hey did you ever finish your Zn-45 Case N64 Portable?
I am planning on making one and using that same case and was wondering what the finished product looked like.

Most likely no. As this is in the contest and unless they have worked a lot on this seems kind of unlikely and be careful with bumping topics.

You can have the name. I kind of gave up on this project as I didn't have sufficient funds and other things that I have been busy with.
