For sale: Dreamcast, broken picopsu 120, Ben's book

Post by rig » Mon Mar 30, 2009 10:34 am

I was working on building a portable DC but my picopsu got killed and I cant afford putting any more money into it. I have the following for sale:

1 Dreamcast. You will need to reattach the original PSU with wires, I took the fork connector off.
1 PicoPSU 120. Pretty sure it's broken.
1 "Hacking Video Game Consoles" book.
2 7808s
1 15w radioshack soldering iron and solder
1 40w? radioshack desoldering iron

This is the saddest "for sale" ever.
Reminds me of the short story, "Baby shoes, never worn."

Man that sucks that your Pico PSU is shot. I can't believe that it is cause I know that it is diode protected against reverse polarity. I'm not sure if it is short circuited protected or not though. All I can say (cause I had some problems with my Pico Psu when I was making my portable) is to make sure that the PS_ON and GND are connected securely. But I'm sure your have checked everything. Sorry to hear about that!

Pretty much all ATX PSUs are. Even the cheapo $5 ones.

It's probably long gone.

Also, why wasn't this in the FS thread?
Cheers,
