It isn't exactly a science. Attach the screen wires to the multiplug according to the pinouts.

Just to let you know, there is a large sticky thread on the Screen Hacking forum.

Is there a pinout for the controller expansion port?

Sorry, I misread your question. I have looked for those, and never found any. Why do you need them? (just curious)

I am planning to incorporate a rumble pack but i dont want to have batteries so if there is a 3v out i could pass the batteries out. or i could connect it to the 3v line on the n64

Just wire it straight to your N64's 3V line.

I've just got one of those force pak's, which don't require batteries (takes the power from the system/controller), but either way would work.

Also, does anyone know, because I'm not really sure, how well a Force Pak compares to a standard Rumble Pak in terms of degree of force? I lost my Rumble Pak several years ago, and have just used my Force Pak ever since, and if memory serves me, the Rumble Pak outperforms the Force Pak (in terms of rumble power). Does anyone have the both of them to compare?

Just a quick question, if using any kind of rumble pak on a portable, wouldn't the vibration possibly dissrupt the connections from the cart to the deck, shake stuff around alittle on the inside too, I guess it wouldn't be a problem if the cart is really really stuck in tight.

Anybody done a rumble pak addition and get any kind of dissruption while playing?

I'd assume you'd have no problem if you made sure to securely fasten the rumble motor, but I can't speak from experience, because I've never done it.
