one of the most accurate 22 rifles you can get! have you seen the newer marlins they sell at walmart? they look like cheap garbage next to the old ones like ours, makes me sadsamjc3 wrote:looking awesome! cant wait to see this finished!

on a more on topic note! i got a little more work done on the case, so its a tiny bit more finished, and a tiny bit less hideous than it previously was i have some size comparison pictures, and maybe a couple more update pics to post tomorrow.

Re: Project GBOsnes !!NEW PICS 06/10/10!!
woo, its awesome what a little bondo and sanding will do! got some more plastic work done on the case, the only major construction stuff left to do is fill a small gap in the top left corner, and finish making the final side plate that goes along the hinge! after that its purely surface cosmetics. make this sucka look perty!
First up are the size comparison pictures! the GBOsnes compared to a regular gameboy and an FC16go. i thought it appropriate seeing as it will be made up of parts of both of those systems!
and now the updated progress pics! maybe i should call it the iboy It goes without saying that this is still very much a work in progress

Re: Project GBOsnes !!NEW PICS 06/13/10!!
Still loving this.
I can bondo controls and stuff in while still making it look good, but you are the king of making an awesome case from handfulls of plastic bits bondo'd together, for sure.

Bondo the cart area flush.
Cool shapes sound like a good idea, but are quite difficult to pull off in the long run.

if i was afraid of doing something difficult you wouldnt be reading this thread right now the cart is already there and solid in the case, why on earth would i smooth it out? plus it wouldnt look as much like a gameboy then!Basement_Modder wrote:Bondo the cart area flush.

Yep! going to use neodymium magnets on the right side to hold it shut, should work really well, and it gives it a little bit of a stealth element, it still looks an awful lot like an original gameboyBasement_Modder wrote:So I assume that you have to open it to insert the game?

You'll have difficulty convincing noobs on the street that it isn't stock, then.
