SNES Flash Dev. Cart

Post by Clockwork-Avatar » Fri Jun 13, 2008 1:04 pm

I don't know if this is the best place to put this, but here it goes:

I know there is a commercially available cart from http://www.tototek.com/ (though they are currently out of stock), but I am looking for info to build my own. I'd like it if at all possible to be flash and not EPROM.

I have info on a cart programmer from http://www.caitsith2.com/snes/snes_cart_dumper.htm, though Its a bit vague and I don't know if I'd actually need a programmer for the AT90S8535.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info, and thank god for babel fish ( my French is rusty, as high school was a long time ago), but is there a way to possible make the cart bigger, I'd like to be able to play the Star Ocean decompressed English graphic pack, but I'd need 96 megabits, and if I understand correctly this is only 32, also would I need to buy the Ezo flash programmer or is the Caitsith programmer compatible.

Thanks Again! :D

hmm, any way to gain access to the SA-1 (compresssed info) or the Capcom Grafix chips?

or would this require the actual (expensive) purchase of a dev kit?

Yooow krepticor , We can't understand exactly what you mean ( Remyar and My self ) because our english is Bad :D

So .. I try to answer something... ( sorry for the mistakes )

If you want to create a star ocean or Megaman X ( 2or3, the first one use an other tech. ) you have to buy a snes cart who have those chip"s ( SA / capcom grafix )

Our Adaptor is able to create a connection between 29F032 and SNES DIP 36 ( As you have in Illusion of time , secret of mana and many more ... )
Thus , it will be difficult to use this one to made a Star ocean or Megaman x because they use directly SMD technology.

By the way , if you want to build your own Secret of mana 2 in english , LET ME KNOW :D :D :D ( i can Sell some adaptor ) but dont forget that : I live in belgium ( and I dont know the shipping cost )

Peace to all 16 bit's fanatic
