I have the one you showed in the first picture. So basicly I have to buy something to get the game working, which I have to get in the USA.That is really expensive because I have to ship it. Isn't there really no way to bypass this without buying certain things that are really hard to get?

umm, no. the pro action replay isn't an american item. i had to pay through the nose to get one. you, on the other hand, should be able to find one for a decent price. i just did a search on ebay.eu and found many for sale.
they call me the Queen of Bondo, though maybe i should be called the Queen of Epoxy Putty

Hey
Thank you very much for your information it helped me out very much. So my last question well question just a check. So in order to get an action replay working I have to buy an ntsc SNES game. And if it works then it will display in black white. Well again I really apreciate your help

yes you will need to get an ntsc game as the "key" game. it will display in color if it works.

I'm sure I fried mine from soldering it in the wrong way...
Edit: I'm dumb, google told me so. I never knew ceramic capacitors had no polarity!

the capacitor on the controller board is not necessary. at least, i don't have mine anymore.gamemasterful wrote:Which direction does the capacitor face on the controller board? I can tell how the one on the power switch is located from the pictures but I can't make out the controller board capacitor from the pics. (not close enough)

So I just bought one of these. Excellent SNES play, although some minor static waves at times.
However, the NES audio is horrible. I took a video that I will post later of how badly it rendered Legend of Zelda into a mangled distorted mess suitable for torturing people with.
Does anyone have guides or videos for tweaking it or fixing it?

most NOACs have pretty lackluster sound, varying from "not quite as good as an actual nes" to "oh my god this is awful" lolPrisoner416 wrote:So I just bought one of these. Excellent SNES play, although some minor static waves at times.

I have version 2 retro duo the snes side runs nicely no static noise, nice and clear.
My nes side has vertical lines, any one no away to fix this.
I have already done the nes sound fix. If I can get rid of these lines I will be one happy camper.
