Dual Shock controller pinout (not the normal question)

I took the wires out of the end of the connector, and labeled them wrong. I need to know in what order they go in? Like yellow = 1, red = 5.

And do you think I will hurt the parallel port if I dont use diodes to hook it up?

Im not sure of the order off of the top of my head.

Nah the parallel port will be fine but you controller wont have any power, so therefore it will not work.

But if you wanted to you could use an external powersource (battery, usb port) but I think it'd be a PITA to do that.

Im not sure I was clear enough. I was talking about still hooking up those wires, just not using the diodes with them.
