Face Button Replacement

Post by Steve-o » Wed Dec 06, 2006 5:55 am

Is it possible to use the right analog stick and desolder it, and solder into the traces going to the face buttons? By doign this would you be able to get the analog stick to act as a face button when you hit it a certain way, like hitting it up would mean the triangle was pressed?
PSp is about 70% done, just have to do the controller and case.

Could I do the same thing for the d-pad, just replace it with a digital stick?

I'm not very experienced yet, but can't a system of transisters turn an analog to digital?
