Prolly not, my modded 3 button Radica already plays SF2 :Champion Edition... ah well, at least the new one has TWO 6-button pads!
Also I managed to fix my JAP MegaCD - turns out that the internal FUSE had blown...
...some quick soldering of a fuse holder and the addition of a 1.6A fuse and POW! The MegaCD works just fine!

Check the compat list on page 1 of this topic...
The short answer is NO for all three of the carts just mentioned by @Unidentified Assailant and @bicostp.
Remember that the only thing that's likely to have changed in the new 6-button Radica is the number of buttons per pad and the fact that there are two controllers...
