umm... I don't know why you posted this so i'll assume you want conformation that it looks ok so... yes, this diagram looks fine to me and violates no laws of physics

what is that thing in the diagram near the top center says 1202 on it the right side says 8v to screen, left side says to n64.
Edit: and is it necessary?

It says 7808 and is a linear voltage regulator that steps 9v or higher down to 8v to power the psone screen so it doesn't fry it.
