My PSX

Post by Thornwillow » Sun Jul 02, 2006 4:33 pm

I have a PSX, when my brother first got it, it was using cardboard for the spindle, and it worked fine, then the cardboard stopped working, so it didnt work at all.
Later my brother and his friend used a CD player spindle for the spindle on the PSX, and it worked again, with only one problem, for some reason it scratched up discs!
They used cardboard wrapped up with tape to hold the drive up so it didnt scratch as bad, it worked some but it still makes a ring around the back of the disc, a ring that is a scratch! Is there a way to stop this??? Is it the spindle that caused it? Should i use a PSX spindle?

Here are pics with the portable CD player spindle (pics of drive and spindle):

PLEASE HELP ME! IT RUINS DISCS!!!
