cutting down a genesis board

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

cutting down a genesis board

hey i got a genesis for 3 bucks so i might make it portable, i was able to get it to run off batteries. its the 2nd edition, ne tips on cutting down the board to make it smaller?

You can cut off the metal shielding/grounding strips on the side; that's it, I think. You do have to leave a bit to ground to, though.

Meh, you can't cut down much. You might as well not portablize it, unless you want to lug it around, go with a Genesis v3. You can do some pretty nice mods to the Genesis v2 though. Painting, overclocking, B&W video, inverted video...
