N64 Conroller

Post by Link89 » Sun Jun 13, 2004 10:28 am

I started on a portable N64 a while ago and just fried it. :( But my question is has anyone ever cut the d-pad board and soldered wires to it. I think you can do this for the controller board but I'm not sure for a,b,c buttons. I asking this because I'd like to keep the port on the bottom for the memory card. I'd appreciate any help.

You can do it aslong as you solder all the leads you cut. You could always desolder the memory card port and move it, but I know that would be an incredible pain to do. I'd say that it'd be easier to use tactile switches and just wire them to the controller board, but if you're just going to use the normal controller it should work.

I drilled holes in the board and soldered holes to that....
