Well, here it is, folks! My SNESp RED! I think it turned out well, despite all of my minor inconveniences. Next is a NESp that I'm doing with a new forum member, LittleMouse. Questions? Comments? Suggestions?

EDIT: The system features a PSOne LED modded 5" display, mini SNES board, and headphone jack for audio. External controller, mounted by way of velcro, is comfortabe and works great! The unit runs off of 6 RadioShack AA Ni-MH batteries, outputting 2000mAh; I hope to invest in some better batteries, but for now, I'm broke. I mean I'm so broke, the NESp I am building now has to run off Ni-Cd's ! For the case, I modded 2 tackle boxes and fused them together to make the box usable; painted red (hence the SNESp RED ) with Krylon Fusion. Currently, the system is not running, due to a wiring problem. Atkafighter is currently fixing it for me. As soon as I get it back, I will post working pics and maybe a video .
Thank You List (If I forgot you, and you helped, drop me a PM or post it on this thread and I'll add you!): Atkafighter, Turbo Tax 1.0, Extremesonicfan, G-force, Triton

thanks, all !
Skyone: the controller is held w/velcro
danguy: I was originally going to have the shoulder buttons on the back, but due to a ridge on the case being exactly where they would go, it didn't work out. the buttons are actually quite comfy where they are. thanks though!
Turbo: thanks! the portable is in the mail, on the way to his house right now. should be there like tomorrow.

Nice red hot you have there. One thing is could you retake the third picture, it's very blurry. Oh and I deleted your double post.

Not hard at all, just meticulous and time consuming. It should probably be finished in one sitting, because dust can damage the inside of the screen if left out, but really it was the first thing I did on my portable (first time soldering, too ) and it was really quite easy. I'd recommend it highly, unless you have a time constraint.
CTF, even though I don't exactly love the case and intersecting cartridge slot, I still need to applaud you. You actually MADE an SNESp. Now, that design wouldn't do it for ME, but whatever works for the main player, I say!
I'll take extra caution and time with mine to make some on the level (or a little below ) Ben's!

Ummm... thanks, I guess . As long as you respect it, I suppose I'm fine. My next portable (NESp, wood) will have a similar design, due to my partner wanting it that way (he also chose to use wood and gold paint we are using ). After that, though, the sky's the limit! I will probably start vac forming and relocating cart slots; possibly even going for a disk system, like Gamecube .Mode7 wrote:CTF, even though I don't exactly love the case and intersecting cartridge slot, I still need to applaud you.
