Update: Well i guess my soldering skills arent that bad considering i successfully performed my first mod. Got my psone screen LED modded. I'm having a problem tho. I have it hooked up to my psone cause i wanted to see how bright the picture was, but when i turn on the system i get sound but no picture. Anyone got any suggestions?? Also got some update case pictures after painting. The back came out pretty good, but the front still needs some more work. I can still tell where i fused pieces together and a couple of holes that need to be filled.

well i feel like im at a standstill until i figure out how to get my screen to work, does anyone have any ideas where i may have gone wrong? I did chop the top of the board off, but i tried to leave more than the pictures suggest incase i cut something important off.

EDIT: Didn't look at page 2 XD
To answer your question about the controller wire, you can use it.

Ok so ive started to wire up the controller, i cut down an snes one and have the A & B connected to the IC along with the 5 leads from the controller cable so i could plug it into my other snes. Well i tried the buttons but they didnt work. I'm not really 100% confident in my skills soldering to the traces on the controller board. I cant tell if the wires are sticking cause ive soldered them correctly or if its cause i melted to the board around it... Is there anyway to use a potentiometer to test if a lead is connected correctly??

well this is disheartening because i can't get my screen to work. I want to check if my slot relocation and board still work, but i alredy desoldered the power and av plugs. Is there anyway to solder the red white and yellow composite cables straight to the board and hook up to my tv?

Well i think i dunno whats wrong, I rewired my capacitors and relocated my cart slot, plugged it into my screen to see if i could even get sound and no luck. I guess im just gunna haveta scrap the board and screen and try again. Next time I'll take stuff off and rewire, then check my work instead of trying to do it all at once and hope i did it right...

It's better to leave the AV plug on when your portable isn't done yet ;)
