Post

Apparently this little dandy hooks right up to your controller ports on the small PSone. Get a Screen and a Battery Pack and a portable PSone is almost too easy...
Here's what best buy had as their product description:
Use the Control Element to optimize your favorite PlayStation games. This unique device attaches easily to your game system and still allows memory cards to pass through.
The Control Element creates laptop-type operation and features two-in-one control with joystick or d-pad attachments. Choose from two play options, connected or disconnected, and then take the Control Element wherever you go, thanks to enhanced portability and the snap-in, stay-on design. Now you can play your old PlayStation games in a whole new way.
Works as a two-in-one controller, with joystick and d-pad attachments
Play connected or disconnected
Offers a laptop-style operation
Easily detaches when two-player operation is needed
Allows for memory cards to pass through
Includes a GFX extension cable
Compatible with PlayStation

Wow so you can make the PSOne portable without investing any time. Just buy that controller, the screen and battery pack. Too bad the thing would look ridiculous when someones trying to play a game.

I kinda think the plugs would snap, since it's supporting a screen, console, and battery pack... all with a lot of leverage

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

that's probably why it takes both controller ports, but still, i can see it snapping.
