NES to video out problems

Post by Blacksheep32 » Sun Mar 17, 2013 9:51 pm

Hi all,

I modded my board by instructions in Ben's book, but can't seem to get past a solid brown screen to load. I'm posting an image of my board.

Is my board an epic fail- did I not post enough info? Is anybody out there?

Yeah, sorry, the board's pretty dead :(

But as far as I can tell, it looks like everything is hooked up right...only thing I can think of is either you're getting a bad connection with the cart, or the vid amp transistor isn't working right.

Thanks MMX, I'll try a different cart and maybe a different amp. I'm running a wallwart with 12v 500mA to the 7805, any chance for a problem there?

Sounds like a bad cart connection. Try cleaning the cart and trying another (clean) one. What cart slot are you using?
