What's better???

Ok, what's better for use in a NESP in your opinion, a NES, a Power Joy, or a Super Joy.

And yes, there is a difference between power joys and super joys.

The Super Joy has that strange shape that doesn't have a controller built onto the main board.
The Power Joy (which I have) has a rectangular shape only a little larger than an NES controller, and has all buttons built into the main board, including a reset button.

Lol my super joy came in two pieces. Sounds like a Power Joy is where it's at.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.
Power Joy is $21.75
This is about the only site I've seen it on, and where I got mine.

Does the Power Joy have the same Japan Cart port like the Super Joy?

The PowerJoy I got from QVC.com doesn't have a cartridge connector... I can't open it up yet so I don't know what the circuit looks like... all I can say is that I hope it has at least a print of where the cartridge port can connect or it is a $25 waste. Disappointing...

Not necessarily...

The power joy uses the NES-on-a-Chip AFAIK, (though it could be the mega joy III version) and you can just desolder it and there are schematics that tel you what goes where. If you have a dremel, cut around the chip, giving about an inch on each side. That should be enough.

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Hmm good point! I forgot about that... I was trying to avoid having to do major engineering, but I'm an engineer so I should just step up to the challenge, haha. Thanks for the reminder!

Well that sucks, I opened it and I can't find the CPU... don't get a PowerJoy from that place, not very useful at all of a product, ha. It might have some decent games on it (I don't have a TV or tv-in to test it right now), and I got 2 red LEDs and some RCA/power components... whoopee. Guess I should get a SuperJoy.

On my power mega super fun player they covered the slot with a cheap plastic blocker that was snapped off with a screwdriver :D

NES is better

I think that a Actual NES board would be better becouse you dont need to do what old ben did to build his NESp. you would just have to just cut down the board and every thing.
