Battery Connections

Post by marinespectre » Sat Feb 26, 2011 1:05 am

So I'm following the walkthrough in the Ben Heck book for the hand-built NESp. I am reading over the "attaching power connectors" part of the book. I am missing part of the book, because I got it from the library. So, my questions are:

1.What the heck is the phono jack for?

2.There are 2 DC input jacks in the instructions, and one size K coaxial plug. It says that the plug attaches to the battery pack itself, and the Jack goes on the charger. Does this mean that I can't charge the battery without removing it from the unit?

3. Is there a way to charge the battery without removing it from the unit?

As you can probably already tell, I'm a total n00b and have never attempted a project of this magnitude. Any feedback would help! Thanks in advance!
