I'm modding/documenting how to mod an NES, but I need some help.
I'm all good on the cutting part, I just need help with overclocking an NES and getting composite out.
Now I know I can buy a few parts and get composite out of the NES by buying a few parts, but I saw that in a PAL board you can just pull components off the RF box and use those.
Is this also possible on an NTSC board?
Thanks in advance.

The NES has a composite out jack right on the side. Unmodded, it only has mono audio, but the hardware's right there.

are you wondering about an nes2? cuz as tib says, the original toaster has composite stock with the system.

I meant how can I get composite and audio without the RF box?

Re: NES modding; need help.
I have seen those already.
Mario's guide uses components which don't come from the NES or RF module.
And most of the links in G-force's thread are dead.

i'm pretty sure you can steal components from the nes2 to do the nes2 a/v mod. but i've never heard of such a thing for the toaster. it's not that many components to get ahold of.

When did I ever say that I have an NES 2?
I'm using the original.

Two resistors and one transistor. If you want to take them from the RF box, pop it open and see if they're in there. If not, go find them somewhere else. I really don't understand how you don't get that from the pictures.

i never said you said you had an nes2. i am telling you that i am aware you can do what you are asking with an nes2 for the nes2 a/v mod. and then i quote myself:argelfraster wrote:When did I ever say that I have an NES 2?

Re: NES modding; need help.
hmmm, i've taken audio from the correct spot and my video circuit is yielding no results... i tried a new transistor, bypassing the first 220 that was in ben's book... any ideas?
