OK BIG UPDATE WITH MANY A PIC! WOOT!
Here's the controller and retro-bit before the merger...
...and after!
...I just hope this doesn't wear off after 30 minutes
Here's my 7805 regulator "stick". Kinda crude, yeah, but it will do the job!
NOW FOR THE CASE STUFF!
The front portion of the case prior to my making the screen hole.
...After the hole...
As for the rear of the case, I decided to carve the cart slot hole in such a shape that would cause the games to fit only one way, to ensure no accidental game misplacing.
Is that a nice fit, or what?
And here's the front...completed!! Took quite a while to file all those shapes down by hand, but it was worth it..they're all very straight and happy
And with all that stuff within the completion range...we now begin the painting process.
This is just a test sheet (my first vac-forming attempt sheet!), I won't paint the final parts until after I know how this particular paint will work (so far, it looks like it will work very well
)
Things are going along nicely now that the parts are pretty much done. It will take a little to paint it all, but save any annoying setbacks (like somehow running out of paint), I should have it all done before the weekend, well before my deadline of the MGC! yay!
