NOAC with original controllers
Moderator:Moderators
Anyone know of a NOAC that allows you to plug in the original controllers? I need to be able to use my power pad.

I think a Yobo will suit your needs.

Okay, so let me have some opinions. I have room for a full NES board in my case, but should I use an NES board or should I use a NOAC? Let the debate begin.

If you have room for a NES, then using a NOAC is just stupid. However if you can build or buy a smaller case then use a NOAC.CraigD wrote:Okay, so let me have some opinions. I have room for a full NES board in my case, but should I use an NES board or should I use a NOAC? Let the debate begin.

Use whatever you have on hand or is cheaper. If you want to make it small, use a noac. If you arent concreneed with size go with the nes.

Re: NOAC with original controllers
No. There are some games that dont work. Only a handful IIRC.
Re: NOAC with original controllers
Also, the sound and video will be a bit off. The Retro Entertainment System is probably the best NOAC out there, there's a thread on AtariAge about it. It's a little bigger than the Yobo, which comes second.
Re: NOAC with original controllers
If you want to go all out, use a Famicom. Smaller than an NES mobo, better sound a video than a NOAC, and if you set things up right you can also play imports on you portable. Once I find a Famicom that's what I'm going to do.
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!

i hate how electronic part suppliers give you an option on their website to filter your searches so that you can find a certain part and no results come up!

Re: NOAC with original controllers
it works but there are some roblems that don't allow you to complete the game.
