Multigame NESp
Post
by Ollie » Sun Apr 17, 2005 2:42 am
I'm currently in the design phase of either a NESp or SNESp and i was wondering if anyone with electronic skills could tell me if this is possible.
Carts would be run internally out of the actual cart.
I don't see why not but my electronic skills are lacking. HeHe

I think that you could use a 3 position switch on the ground line of each slot.

what he says, if the game has not ground its not powered and not working so if he switched the ground between game it souldnt be a problem...doing it while its running in theroy wouldnt be a problem either but thats just a theroy and i wouldnt trust it at all

It might, but that would start to get really brutal on your system. You could try it once or twice, but them you should try to remember to turn the system off before switching.

You could connect everthing it the normal places, EXCEPT one pin on each cart, which is +V, so you can switch certain carts on and off.

One other thing to consider is that there are probably multiple ground pins on the NES cart. So you would have to connect all of them to 1 pin in order to switch between carts.

That's exactly what I said to do....
And it's better to cut the ground line, because you are cutting the electron flow.

Conventional current does, but that is theory. Electron current goes from - to +.

Yep, this is one thing a lot of people get confused about.
Though it is true.

That actually pisses me off. I'm an A student in both science and electronics, and having to sit through the science lectures about how it really goes - to + sucked. I also hated that I could finish every activity in the chapter in one day, and then have to wait and help the idiots for the next 2 weeks.

I know exactly how you feel.
What grade are you in by the way?
